Leather-Wrapped Ring

While searching for leather materials,
we visited several wholesalers and showrooms.
In a quiet corner of a shelf,
we found a small box filled with tiny parts.

At first glance, they appeared to be ordinary metal clips.
But when held in hand,
each piece revealed itself to be wrapped in leather.

Thinly skived leather is wrapped around a metal ring.
While machines assist parts of the process,
the final finishing is completed by hand.
Subtle differences in thickness and firmness
naturally appear in the final expression.

The finished rings do not assert themselves.
Instead, they carry a quiet irregularity.

Drawn to this presence,
we incorporate them into selected VU products.
Even in the smallest details,
we aim to retain a sense of material and handwork.

Though small in scale,
this detail brings the material closer to the user.
Available in four sizes — large, medium, small, and extra small —
without defining a fixed purpose,
leaving space for interpretation and personal use.
